Simmons Elementary – Spanish Dual Immersion

Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, Simmons Elementary School launched a Spanish Dual Immersion Program for students entering transitional kindergarten and kindergarten. The program will continue to phase up a grade level until fully implemented as a Spanish Dual Immersion School for TK-sixth grade. We accept applications from across and outside the district for transitional kindergarten and kindergarten students. Below is the application process for the 2026-27 school year.

 Attend an orientation meeting – RSVP to secure your seat

  1. Complete the dual language supplemental application after you have attended an orientation meeting and turn it in before the priority enrollment period ends on January 30th
  2. If applicants exceed capacity, a random lottery will take place after the priority enrollment period
  3. Applications that come in after January 31st will be placed in date order after the last lottery number
  4. If you are selected for the program, you will need to follow additional steps
